Finca San Pedro is located on the edge of Sogamoso, the second most populated city in the beautiful department of Boyacá, 213 Km from Bogotá. Sogamoso, also known as “La ciudad del Sol”, is located in the middle of the spectacular Sugamuxi region. Here you will also find the valley of Iraka “great light on earth”. Sogamoso is 2569 meters above sea level and has an average temperature of 15 0C.
Our family friendly hostel is located on a 2 hectare farm just minutes from Sogamoso and is the perfect place to enjoy and relax. The hostel is centrally located and is the ideal starting point to explore the region. The area is still very unknown by travelers and definitely needs to be explored by you!
We provide complete information on all the tours and activities you can do here. Explore the sacred Lake Tota and its white beach. Go bushwalking on the lake, horseback riding, visit the Temple of the Sun, the small and magnificent colonial villages, the beautiful vineyard of Puntalarga or go hiking in the mountains and see the humid tropical rainforest, waterfalls, Páramos (natural sites at an altitude a few meters below the snow but above the forest line) and much, much more…
We offer all the regular services you would expect from a good hostel. These services include free internet and wifi, free towels, kitchen, book exchange, hot water, laundry service, and board games. We also have a large and beautiful garden, dogs and cat to play with, Yoga and Meditation classes, sauna, massage, optimized water, living and dining rooms. Satellite TV, DVD, Fax, safe deposit boxes and we have 2 fireplaces and a fire pit in case it gets a little chilly at night.
